Date changed - Meeting with all MHTE registered Architects

The meeting which the Ministry of Housing, Transport and Environment (MHTE) intended to hold on Sunday, 07th June 2009 regarding the “National Building Designers Regulation” (NBDR) has been postponed to Sunday, 14th June 2009 (next week).

MHTE invites all Architects, who have obtained registration from MHTE under Building Designers Registration, for this meeting.

Change of dates - Maldives National Building Act opened for public commenting

Ministry of Housing Transport and Environment (MHTE) have published the first draft of Maldives National Building Act for public comment. The Act is available for download from MHTE’s website: http://www.construction.gov.mv.

The due date for commenting has been extensed until 14:30hrs of Sunday, 14th June 2009.

You may send your comments in writing to the Ministry or email to cids@housing.gov.mv

In addition, the discussion meeting which was supposed to be held on the 02nd June 2009 regarding the Act has been postponed to Thursday, 18th June 2009 at 11:00hrs at the Ministry. All who wishes to attend are invited for the meeting. Those who are attending are requested to inform the Ministry before Sunday, 14th June 2009.

The MHTE intends to meet the architects and engineers in separate meetings. These two separate meetings will be held as per the following details.

Maldives National Building Act opened for public commenting

Ministry of Housing Transport and Environment (MHTE) have published the first draft of Maldives National Building Act for public comment. The Act is available for download from MHTE’s website: http://www.construction.gov.mv.

Those who wish to comment on the Act may send their comments in writing to the ministry or may email their comments to cids@housing.gov.mv before 1430 hours of Sunday, 31st May 2009.

In addition, a discussion meeting regarding the Act is to be held on 2nd June 2009 at 1100 hours at the Ministry. All who wishes to attend are invited for the meeting. Those who are attending, please inform the Ministry in advance before 31st May 2009.
